Think Before You Read |
What if you could just go to a weekend-long, ticket-free, open-air music festival featuring almost all genres of music from all around the world?
![]() |
You guessed it! Look no further than Woodstock Festival, held in Kostrzyn nad Odrą in western Poland, close to the border with Germany. This is "the biggest open-air festival in Europe" organized by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation and volunteers from various NGOs.
Every year, a crowd of over 700,0001 people gather to attend around 30 performances from rock (main theme) through folk to heavy metal music.
August 3-5, 2017 have been designated as event dates, with the motto "Love, Friendship, and Music" echoed stronger than ever since the start of the festival back in 1995.
